Σύμφωνα με τη διεθνή κατάταξη UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2019 το πανεπιστήμιό μας κατετάγη 1ο από όλα τα πανεπιστήμια της χώρας στην κατηγορία «ενέργειας και κλιματικής αλλαγής».
Ειδικότερα, το Ευρωπαϊκό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου έχει καταταγεί στα 200+ καλύτερα πανεπιστήμια του κόσμου σε θέματα περιβαλλοντικής ανάπτυξης.
Αυτή η νέα διεθνής αναγνώριση επιβεβαιώνει αφενός την κοινωνική και οικολογική ευθύνη, αφετέρου την υψηλή ποιότητα υποδομών και αριστεία πρακτικών που ακολουθεί το πανεπιστήμιο σε θέματα περιβαλλοντικής ευαισθησίας και πολιτικής.
Να σημειωθεί πως στη συνολική κατάταξη το Ευρωπαϊκό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου είναι δεύτερο, μετά το δημόσιο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, και ανάμεσα στα 400+ καλύτερα αειφόρα πανεπιστήμια του κόσμου.
European University Cyprus recognized internationally for its environmental credentials
According to the 2019 International UI GreenMetric World University Rankings our university was ranked 1st among universities in Cyprus in the category of "energy and climate change” and among the 200+ best universities in the world on environmental development.
On the one hand this new international recognition affirms the university’s social and environmental responsibility and, on the other, the high quality of its infrastructure and the excellence of the practices it follows on matters of environmental sensitivity and policy.
It must be noted that in the overall rankings, European University Cyprus ranks second, after the state University of Cyprus, and among the 400+ best sustainable universities in the world. The aim of UI GreenMetric ranking is to survey and record the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in universities all over the world.
